Map Project

After a mini-study of map parts each student created a map of their own.  All the maps included a title, compass rose, map key, and symbols.

iPad Station

 

The students have enjoyed the iPad this year during our station time.  We have found some fun and educational apps for all subjects.

Hopes and Dreams 2012

 

The student’s Hopes and Dreams turned our GREAT this year.  Each student wrote something they HOPE to accomplish this school year and a DREAM they have for the future.  Our Hopes and Dreams were on display for a month in the hall.  We now have moved them to the bulletin board inside our classroom.

Olymipics 2012

We have started our year off with a Magic Tree House book. Hour of the Olympics by Mary Pope Osborne. The students and I are reading about the adventures Jack and Annie have when they go back to ancient Greece. Annie is not allowed to compete in the Olympic games and sends Jack to the games without her.

Book Club

This year we did a variety of  books studies. Students read different trade books and we completed a variety of activities based on each book.

I would like to THANK YOU for two wonderful school years. Teaching third grade was something new for me this year. With the addition of our four new classmates our class had another wonderful year.  I will always cherish the extended time I had with this class. A special thanks to all the parents who helped make the past two years GREAT!!!

Mother's Day Gifts

This year my students made breakfast in bed bags to give to their mom for Mother’s Day. Students were asked to make a portrait of their mom to place on the bag. These are a few of the cute bags created.
