We had a great time at 1st and 2nd grade Story Time. Second grade read Bedtime at the Nut House. 

Two New DonorsChoose Grants Funded

We are so excited that two of our DonorsChoose grants where funded this weekend.
 

We added an iPad Mini to our collections and got an set of yoga DVDs and books. We appreciate your support.
 

We still have one DonorsChoose grant online.

 

Hopes and Dreams

Our class started the year off by writing our Hopes and Dreams.

All About Me

The students all create a poster with information about themselves. They shared it during morning meeting.

Play Doh Writing

The students were asked to make a creation using Play Doh relating to something they did this summer. Then they wrote a paragraph in their journal about their creation.

7-Up Writing

Today our class worked on a new writing strategy. As second graders we are working towards writing detailed sentences with seven or more words. Each student gathered M&Ms or Skittles to assist with their writing. Each time they wrote a 7-Up sentence they were able to eat a piece of candy. We enjoyed drinking 7-Up drinks while we did this activity. These are a few pictures from this fun writing activity.
